Following consultation with both Parent and Non-Parent customers we have decided to clarify our position on children being welcomed to The Royal Oak.
The Royal Oak 's primary objective is to provide quality food, drink and service, as well as offering a welcoming and smoke free environment for our adult clientele. However we do welcome children under the following guidelines.
All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. The behaviour of children is their direct responsibility.
Any parent or guardian who fails to control the behaviour of their child may be asked to leave. We realise that this is not always easy and may seem harsh, but some parents are immune to the noise their children make.
This sort of behaviour is not appreciated by the vast majority of our customers.
Children must not be seated at the bar and will not be served at the bar. We have a dedicated menu for children aged 12 and under which is available until 7:30 pm .
We only have a limited supply of high chairs which must be pre-booked.
Children must be supervised at all times whilst playing in the garden area. They must not run inside or outside the Pub.
No children under 5 years of age are allowed on the premises after 7:30 pm .
No children under 12 years of age are allowed on the premises after 9:00pm .
We trust this policy clarifies our position. Thank you for your understanding.
